Vanamahotsav
Celebrating trees and nature.
Children dressed as trees, flowers, birds and animals to celebrate Vanamahotsav, India’s annual tree-planting festival. Through songs, short speeches and activities, they learned why trees matter for clean air, water, shade and wildlife — and how each of us can help protect the environment.
World Youth Skills Day
Skills on display.
Students designed and presented their own projects, demonstrating creativity, practical skills and confidence in explaining their ideas to visitors. The day highlighted the importance of skills — alongside knowledge — for the future.
Hindi Diwas
Honouring our languages.
Hindi Diwas was celebrated with recitations, speeches and cultural activities that encouraged children to take pride in India’s languages and to use them with confidence.

Why we celebrate
Every event is a lesson.
Preparing for a celebration teaches children to research, rehearse, speak in public, work in teams and take responsibility for their part. Celebrating festivals from different traditions builds respect and belonging in a diverse community.
We plan events so that they enrich learning without disrupting it — and we try to involve every child, not only a select few.
Are parents invited to events?
Parents are invited to selected events such as sports day, annual day and exhibitions. Invitations are shared in advance.
Do children need special costumes?
For some celebrations children may dress in theme. We keep requirements simple and inform parents early; costumes can usually be made from items at home.
